About This Policy

We’re Hometown Pro Service, a locally owned home exterior care company in Columbus, Ohio. This policy explains what we collect when you visit hometownproservice.com, ask for a quote, or become a client. It also explains how we use that information, who helps us handle it, and the choices you have.

If anything here is unclear, email us at info@hometownproservice.com or call 614-616-2562.

What You Tell Us

If you call or email us, we get whatever you choose to share.

To ask for a quote online, you use our quote form. Jobber, the service we use for quotes and scheduling, provides the form, and what you type goes to our Jobber account, not to this website. Jobber may receive what you’ve entered on each step when you click Next, even if you don’t finish the request. The form asks for:

  • Your first and last name, email address, and phone number
  • Your street address, unit, city, state, and ZIP code
  • Details about the work you have in mind
  • Your choices about marketing emails and texts from us

What We Collect Automatically

Our website host, Netlify, receives the standard details every browser sends, such as your IP address, browser and device type, and the page you asked for, so it can deliver our site and keep it secure. Netlify handles these details under its own privacy policy at netlify.com/privacy.

We use Google Analytics to see how people find and use our site. It records which pages you visit and when, how long you stay, the site or link that brought you here, and actions such as scrolling or clicking a link to another site. It also records your browser, device, and language. Google estimates your general location (city, region, and country) from your IP address. According to Google, Google Analytics doesn’t log or store IP addresses.

We use Google Analytics only to measure our own site, not for advertising, and we don’t send it your name, email address, phone number, or street address. Google explains what it does with this information on its page “How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services” at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

What Happens Inside the Quote Form

The quote form on our Get a Quote, Holiday Lighting, and Pressure Washing pages comes from Jobber’s website. It loads as soon as you open Get a Quote, and on the service pages as you scroll toward it, even if you never fill it in. At that point, Jobber receives your IP address and browser details, the page you’re on and its title, the page that brought you there, any campaign or ad tags in the link you followed, and the random IDs Google Analytics uses for your visit. If you send a request, Jobber may save these details with it, which shows us the page or link that led you to us.

Jobber relies on other companies to run the form, including Cloudflare for security, Google for address entry and fonts, and services that help Jobber measure and fix its forms. Each of them receives your IP address and browser details. Google’s address tool may also receive the address you type, and Jobber’s measuring services record how the form is used, such as when it opens and when a request is sent.

The form is protected by reCAPTCHA, a Google service that checks your browser and device to make sure a person is sending the request. Google’s Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy) and Terms of Service (policies.google.com/terms) apply.

Jobber handles your request as our service provider, and we’re responsible for it. For anything about your request, contact us, not Jobber. Jobber’s own measuring and security services are covered by its privacy policy at getjobber.com/privacy-policy.

How We Use Your Information

  • We reply to your request and prepare your written proposal.
  • We schedule your work, send reminders and invoices, and keep service records.
  • We send marketing messages only as described in “Emails and Texts From Us” below.
  • With your permission, we photograph light displays and finished work for our marketing. When we share those photos, we name the suburb, never your street address, and we don’t show your house number.
  • We study how visitors use our site so we can improve it.
  • Our providers use technical details to keep our site and the quote form secure and free of spam.
  • We use your information to meet our legal obligations.

Who We Share Your Information With

We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t share it with other companies for their own marketing. These are the companies and people who may receive it, and when:

  • Jobber runs the quote form and the Client Hub behind our Client Login link, and it stores your requests and client records. Jobber has its own providers for hosting, email and text delivery, security, and measuring and fixing its forms.
  • Google provides Google Analytics, reCAPTCHA, the form’s address and font tools, and our email (Google Workspace).
  • Netlify hosts our site.
  • Phone carriers deliver our calls and texts.
  • If someone working with us helps on your job, they get only what the job needs, such as your address.
  • If you pay an invoice online through Jobber, Jobber and its payment processor handle your payment details.
  • We may disclose information when the law requires it.
  • If our business is ever sold, the buyer may receive our customer records, and we’d require the buyer to honor this policy for the information we collected under it.

Cookies and Similar Technology

Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. Our own pages set two cookies, both for Google Analytics. One, named _ga, uses a random ID to tell one browser from another. The other, named _ga_ followed by an ID, keeps track of your current visit. Both expire two years after your last visit.

The quote form’s cookies belong to Jobber and its providers. One is __cf_bm, a Cloudflare security cookie that lasts about 30 minutes. The services that help Jobber measure and fix its forms can also set cookies and use browser storage, and Google may set its own cookies when reCAPTCHA runs. Some browsers, such as Safari and Firefox, block or limit cookies like these.

Our own pages use no advertising, retargeting, or social media cookies or tracking pixels, and the quote form had none when we last checked it.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser’s settings. To stop Google Analytics from measuring your visits to our site and others, use Google’s opt-out add-on for desktop browsers at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Do Not Track and Tracking Across Sites

Some browsers can send a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. Our site doesn’t change what it does when it receives one, but the cookie controls above still work.

Google and the companies that run Jobber’s form serve many websites, so they may be able to collect information about your activity over time and across different sites.

Emails and Texts From Us

When you send a request, we may email, call, or text you with your proposal, scheduling details, appointment reminders, and invoices. These messages are part of our service, not marketing.

The form’s marketing email box starts checked. If you leave it checked, we may send occasional emails about our services and seasonal offers. Each one has an unsubscribe link, and we honor opt-outs within 10 business days.

The form’s marketing text box starts unchecked, and we send marketing texts only to people who agree to them, for example by checking that box. You never have to agree to marketing emails or texts to buy from us.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any of our texts to stop them, or reply HELP for help. You can also opt out by phone or email, and we’ll stop the messages within 10 business days.

We don’t share mobile information with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We don’t sell text message opt-in data or consent, and we share it only with the carriers and providers that deliver our texts.

How Long We Keep Your Information

Your quote requests and client records live in our Jobber account. We keep them, and the emails, texts, and call records we exchange with you, as long as we need them to serve you and keep our business records. If you ask us to delete them sooner, we will, except for records the law requires us to keep, such as invoices.

Google Analytics deletes visit-level data after 14 months. Summary reports, such as monthly visit totals, aren’t affected. Netlify keeps its server logs under its own policies.

How We Protect Your Information

Our site and the quote form use secure, encrypted connections (HTTPS). Nothing you type into the form is stored on our website, which has no accounts, passwords, or payments of its own.

We use established providers, and we limit access to our Jobber account to the people on our team who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so we can’t guarantee that your information will always be safe.

Your Choices

Children

Our site is meant for homeowners and other adults. It isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has sent us information, email info@hometownproservice.com, and we’ll delete it.

Changes to This Policy

If we change how we handle your information, for example by adding a new tool to our site, we’ll update this page before the change takes effect and post a new effective date at the top. Jobber can change the tools inside its quote form on its own, so we check the form at least once a year and update this page when we find a change. If a change is significant, we’ll say so at the top of the page, too.
